BOLT (3D)

THE DAY THE EARTH STOD STILL 2008 version

In the original movie, a flying saucer orbits Earth, and lands in Washington, DC, on the Mall. Klaatu (Michael Rennie) steps out and is shot by a jumpy soldier. Gort (Lock Martin), an indestructible robot steps out of the spacecraft and proceeds to melt all the weapons, including tanks. Later, the Earth comes to realize that Gort has used very little of his power to make this happen.
The 2008 remake about an alien and his indestructible robot will star Keanu Reeves as Klaatu, Jennifer Connelly as Helen Benson, Jaden Smith as Jacob, and Kathy Bates. Gort has not been cast at this time and will most likely be created using SFX.
Twilight Movie (Novel Best Seller by Stephanie Meyer)
When Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) reluctantly moved to the perpetually overcast town of Forks, WA, and set out to carve a niche for herself, she assumed it would be one similar to the low-profile social position she held back in Phoenix. First on the list of surprises was the unfamiliar attention from... the male population of her new high school; second, the attention from one male in particular: Edward Cullen, Vampire (Robert Pattinson). Before long, the unlikely soul mates find themselves in a passionate relationship with a variety of significant setbacks, including Edward's special-needs diet (he doesn't eat humans, but Bella's scent inspires a nearly impossible to harness bloodlust) and the human girl's mortality. Though things proceed relatively smoothly at first (Edward even introduces Bella to his adoptive vampire family), a visiting vampire clan consisting of James (Cam Gigandet), Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre), and Laurent (Edi Gathegi) catches Bella's unique scent and threatens the young couple's budding, if dangerous, happiness. James, known for his powerful tracking ability, becomes obsessed with making Bella his next victim. Fearing for Bella's safety and that of her loved ones, the Cullens must combine their collective talents in order to stop the highly predatory James before his goal is accomplished. ~ Tracie Cooper, All Movie GuideKamis, 30 Oktober 2008
New Release "High School Musical 3"

The big question is: will teens and pre-teens pay to see what they've previously received for free on TV? High School Musical 3: Senior Year is the first movie of the HSM franchise to be released theatrically, so what makes this one so much more special that it deserves a $10 ticket to see? Call me cynical but this has to be a purely financial decision on Disney's part. The studio must have caught onto the fact they have a cash cow in their field that they haven't been effectively milking. Apparently all the posters, T-Shirts, lunch boxes, backpacks, CDs, and other merchandise opportunities weren't quite enough to satisfy studio bigwigs.
Whatever the reasoning behind the decision to push High School Musical 3 into theaters, this is almost guaranteed to be the last film featuring the lead actors. Zac Efron has moved on to different projects outside the Disney universe. Ashley Tisdale is also spreading her wings and branching out. Tisdale is working behind the scenes on several projects, and even has a new Teen Witch movie in the works. But of course there could always be a High School Musical 4 with a batch of new faces in place of Efron and Company. And since the official synopsis for the movie points out that a "crew of sophomore Wildcats joins in the fun," those folks at Disney look like they're not quite willing to put an end to the HSM franchise entirely.
The Story
Singing and dancing break out as the Wildcats face the prom, high school graduation, and their impending separation as college looms in the not-so-distant future.
